Countdown to Afiq's operations - update on Afiq's appointment with Echo & Anaest

Assalamualaikum,

Countdown to Afiq's operations (planned 17/03/13)

 

Update Afiq's appointment with Echo and Anaet, 12/3/13

Reviewed with: Dr Ruwaida (pakar bius paediatric) dan Dr Adilla.

 

Biasanya, appointment dengan doktor, tunggu 2,3 jam, jumpa doktor dalam 10,15 minit jer. Appointment kelmarin, tunggu seminit dua jer. Almost all of the 2 hours time are for review, not waiting. There is 1st time for everything. Hopefully, this trend will continue. Amin.

Selepas buat echo, terus ke klinik anaest untuk review sebelum operations. Doktor banyak tanya aku & Ain sebab sebahagian besar nota tiada dalam file (missing?? hopefully not).

 

Keputusannya - GO !! (operations to proceed as planned). Afiq akan dibiuskan seluruh badan guna ubat fentanyl.

Result echo - sudah tiada masalah jantung (no PDA). Alhamdulillah !!!.

 

Bagaimanapun, ada 2 benda / masalah yang aku terdengar (curi dengar) semasa dua doktor ni dok bincang:

1) doktor-doktor tu ada sebut pasal lubang kecil ataupun istilah yang dia pakai, 'small TR'. Entah apa maksudnya pun, aku tak tahu. Nak kena tanya doktor-doktor lain ni.

2) doktor Ruwaida ada sebut pasal "tak confirm Afiq ni sakit Pierre Robin Sequence sebab kromosom test dia 46xy" dan bukan something something (aku tak ingat apa, tapi aku ingat dia sebut fifteen"). Nak kena research jugak ni.

I need to know !! Parents need to know !! Why is it that doctors dont want to share problems with us the parents !! Doctors need to remind themselves, parents of patients need to be taken care as well.
